This is the place to find out a bit more about me and a bit more about this blog!
About A Reader's Ramblings
I started this blog in September of 2009 as a way to just put my thoughts out there about the books I was reading (and I was reading alot). Since then I've been able to both focus interms of the types of books I review (mostly YA) and branch out in terms of what I'm doing. Not only am I reviewing now, but I'm also participating in author interviews and running contests and giveaways. It's amazing to me how much the website has started to take off in what is a relatively short amount of time!
A little about me:
It's time for an overhaul of the bio! When I started this blog in 09' I was a legal secretary, now I've finished my Master's in Library Science (School Media) and I currently working as a middle school librarian.
Some of the things I really enjoy are reading (obviously), writing, riding my horse, traveling and photography. I also do a bit of writing. So far I've finished up a few childrens' books that center around a young cowboy having adventures in the old west, and I'm also working on a YA Historical Fiction set, unsurprisingly, in the west shortly after the Civil War. It's slow going sometimes, but I love the research involved and I have some spectacular beta-readers to keep me moving forward! I also have the good fortune of working on another blog, Eve's Fan Garden. Eve's Fan Garden grew out of the book of the month club at TwilightMoms and I'm super thankful that these great ladies let me hitch my car to their train. It has been a great ride that I don't see ending any time soon.
This blog has allowed me to really get back into reading for the fun of it and I'm glad I get the chance to share it with all of you!
